Production update and insert photos!
over 1 year ago – Fri, Sep 09, 2022 at 11:58:00 PM

Hello, fellow Lumerians!

Some of you were very keen to see some production photos, which was a great idea! Unfortunately with holiday time in most firms getting some samples and photos was not as easy as we would like it to be, but today we finally have something for you. We would like to show you a final design of an insert that is already in production, but we've just now been able to get our hands on it and shoot some photos. We'd also like to describe some features that we've made here, so have a quick read with us!

Designing a good insert for a game is not an easy task, and I'm not sure if I have ever seen a perfect insert in any board game in the past decade. With that in mind, we've spent quite some time designing this one, so you could fit your whole collections and store them as safely as possible. As you can see in the photos below:

- Dedicated parts for every faction are spaced out so you can easily grab them

- The bottom surface of each compartment is carved, so cards stay in place even when you are moving the box

- there is enough room to fit the cards in sleeves (the feature that is often missed)

- there is a compartment for every faction currently designed for the game, and some spare, just in case ;)

- the compartment for the activation dice is designed so one can fit dice for all the factions (for those of you who love dice and like me, love having components associated with the faction they play)

- there is a separate space for scenario cards, all the tokens, attack dice, and specifically for faction tokens next to each faction

As you can see the insert is quite handy, and have a lot of space to safely keep all the components while simultaneously making the setup as fast as possible. It is also designed with some room to easily grab it and remove it from the box without being forced to remove any components. The final design is a little bit higher so you can store a board and rulebook under the insert if you want (and not be forced to keep it on the cards, so they would stay safe).

We hope that you like this design as much as we do! Both inserts and boxes are currently in production in Europe, while the cards and the rest of the components are printed in China. We hope that when our contact from the Chinese factory will get back from vacation next week we can get some pictures of already made components as well. We will show them to you as soon as we get them! Now that the production is in full swing we hope that we will be able to update you more often with new information!

Production is finally here!
almost 2 years ago – Mon, Jul 04, 2022 at 12:41:12 AM

Hello, fellow Lumerians!

First of all - we are sorry that we are late with this update, we were expecting to post it a few days ago, but we got delayed due to changing some files for the Chinese factory, to make the production smoother.

As of right now, we can finally announce, that Lumeria is being printed! The files were changed according to new guidelines, and it’s finally starting. Due to problems with the Chinese factory that we explained in previous updates this year, this process got prolonged beyond our calculations, but it is finally over.

As much as everything being delayed (and it seems to be literally everything in the world right now) seems like the new reality in 2022, it is still not something we feel comfortable with. We were fully expecting to deliver Lumeria on time with all the preparations last year, and we are truly sorry that we did not. We hope, that the gameplay itself, and the look of the game (the box will be amazing!) will reward you for those few months of delay, and you will enjoy fighting on the fields of Lumeria as much as we do.

In the meantime - stay safe as always, and play the games you love!

Insert problem solved!
almost 2 years ago – Fri, May 20, 2022 at 05:08:15 PM

Hello, fellow Lumerians!

It took some time, but we finally have good news!

As you probably remember, in our last update we have informed you about the problems that we faced with the Chinese factory and their failure to deliver previously accepted inserts in the boxes. Unfortunately, after a few attempts, they have not been able to produce a satisfying project and prototype, and we had to act quickly to find a replacement manufacturer.

Luckily we were able to find one and we can now inform you that have a manufacturer, that was able to provide the project so we can start the production process. At the same time, we’d like to ease your minds - in order to make sure, that the new cards will be compatible with the previous prints of the game in quality, we will still produce the cards and boards in the Chinese factory. Even though it will cost a little bit more, we believe, that maintaining the quality is more important. With all of that said we continue to work as quickly as possible with the new manufacturer to start production of the inserts and boxes, while simultaneously printing the rest of the components, with the hope, that this will regain some of the delays we’ve had already.

Thank you for your patience and support. We hope, that you are safe and healthy, and will be able to enjoy Lumeria as soon as possible.

Insert delay and the next steps
about 2 years ago – Wed, Mar 30, 2022 at 03:57:17 PM

Hello, fellow Lumerians!

Today we come to you with another update on the production process. Unfortunately, this time around there is a slight delay, that we could not foresee, but we feel that it is important to keep you in the loop, rather than wait until this problem is fixed.

Although all the print files for cards, boards, etc are ready in both English and Polish language, our factory ran into a problem with manufacturing an insert. Their previous measurement proved to have a few problems, and they are fixing the new mold as we speak, to deliver the insert as it was planned (with spaces for all the factions, cards in sleeves, etc). We are eagerly awaiting the finalization of the project so we can adjust the box and print everything. While this situation unfolds we are also trying to plan ahead of time for logistics and shipping since the situation in Eastern Europe right now is rapidly changing, but we will try to avoid delays in that regard.

We are terribly sorry that this delay happened. Although we are often told that Kickstarters never arrive on time, it is still something we do not like telling you. We hope, that this problem is the last one we encounter and that the next update will be about marking this issue as resolved and everything back on track.

In the meantime, we hope you are all safe and healthy. After all, this is all that matters.
